We invite you to join us as we launch Kolding Food Lab – a food living lab in the centre of Kolding.

Food Lab is a new open space for experimentation and community building, where people of all ages and interests can come together to determine how to make our food system and food practices more sustainable. The aim of Food Lab is to understand what is needed to transform all aspects of Kolding’s food system to be more sustainable. Working together in the meeting spaces, kitchen and garden, we invite you to consider how we eat, consume, process and produce food, how we deal with waste and the laws that shape our food-related actions.

Help us launch Food Lab with our first Green Saturday, 27 November 2021 at Riberdyb 10, Kolding.

Help us make a home for pollinators in the heart of the city; join a workshop on sustainable food packaging; think about gardening in small places and mental health; come with your children and plant wildflowers or trees; take seeds home to make pollinators welcome from one end of the municipality to the other. Green Saturday will be full of experimentation and learning, good food, thoughtful discussion and fun.

Situated in Riberdyb 10, in a bright shared environment with Food Reformers NGO, designers and artists in residence, Fælleskabet free fridge and more, Food Lab is one of many living labs being created by the University of Southern Denmark and Kolding Municipality for the European Union-funded FUSILLI project. FUSILLI, known locally as Food 2030 in Kolding, aims to Foster Urban Food System Transformation through Innovative Living Labs Implementation in 12 European cities. If you eat, produce, sell, share, waste or develop laws around food, please join us to eat, plant and grow more sustainable food futures.

 

 

Itinerary first Green Saturday

10:00-15:00 (all day):
CITIZEN SCIENCE FOR EVERYONE: The Pollinator project – pick up your wildflower-pack, plant at home, welcome bees and birds and butterflies, and when your flowers are ready, share your seeds.
• REFLECTIONS & REFRESHMENTS: Food System Transformation – Join us for a cup of tea and a snack, share your thoughts and concerns.

10:30-12:00 Parallel Sessions:

• INSIDE WORKSHOP: Sustainable Food Packaging [with Nikolett Kapronczai & Kathrine-Amalie Eglin Hammer Jørgensen, SDU]
